15 Signs of Twitter Addiction - A Medical Intuitive Perspective

If you spend much of your time on the internet, IPhone, or Blackberry, you may have an addiction which has only been recently discovered. It has not yet been featured on CNN, Larry King Live, or Oprah, but I think the folks at the Colbert Report and Daily Show may be victims. I'm sure it will be featured soon. You may be one of the first to discover it in yourself, friend or family.

You know if you have a twitter addiction if:
  1. All of your friends’ names start with @
  2. You name your dog @buddy
  3. You sign your work email @job
  4. You don’t read emails that aren’t highlighted replies to you
  5. Your mom joined Twitter to chat with you
  6. All you want for your birthday is unlimited SMS use on your cell phone
  7. You tweeted your marriage proposal
  8. You tweeted your marriage proposal acceptance
  9. You tweeted while saying your marriage vows
  10. You tweet from your candlelight anniversary dinner that you are celebrating…by candlelight
  11. Your kids have to tweet you to get you to make dinner
  12. You tweet live commentary during the inauguration
  13. You tweet before you start the coffee in the morning
  14. You stay up all night thinking of making up words like tweeple, tweetheart, tweettooth, twacholate, twoffee
  15. You tweet while biking otherwise known at twiking
For those of you who don’t know what Twitter is, its a virus and there is no antibiotic to cure it. (I know antibiotics are for bacteria.)

As a Medical Intuitive, I predict legions of Twitter Anonymous Tweetups (TAT) and Tweet Patches stock going through the roof!

Not everyone who stops Tweeting experiences withdrawal symptoms, but most people who have been Tweeting for a long period of time, or Tweet frequently, or Tweet heavily, will experience some form of withdrawal symptoms if they stop Tweeting suddenly.

There is no way to predict how any individual will respond to slowing down the pace of Twittering. If you plan to stop Tweeting and you have been Tweeting for years, or if you Tweet heavily when you do Tweet, or even if you Tweet moderately but frequently, you should consult a Twithdrawal professional before going "cold twurkey.

Withdrawal symptoms can appear within a few minutes, hours or several days after discontinuation.

Withdrawal symptoms may or may not include:

Mild to moderate symptoms:

* Feeling of jumpiness or nervousness
* Feeling of missing the conversation
* Following strangers at the mall
* Irritability or easily excited
* Difficulty with typing anything over 140 characters
* Twitching
* Involuntary finger movements
* Insomnia, sleeping difficulty

Severe symptoms:

* IPhone envy
* Sneaking off to Facebook to update your status (at least you weren’t tweeting!)

The Seven Laws of Managing your Tweet Addiction
  1. DO NOT go Cold Twurkey.
  2. Limit yourself to certain times of the day for a certain # of hours. Try 3 times a day for 15 minutes only.
  3. Keep a Twattitude journal. Write everything you are thankful for in your non-virtual world.

Using the Solstice Energy for Attracting Manifestations


Are you using the solstice energies to assist in manifesting the life you want?

The Map of Manifestation is about harnessing, expanding and utilizing all the energy available to create the life you want.

The human race has always used any energy available to create whatever was needed in life.
Today we use mostly energy created by a human process, electricity, money, combustion, gasoline, nuclear power and solar energy to power our lives. Additionally we use our own internal energy which is manifested through proper nutrition, stress management, exercise and will.

Why not use the energy of the Solstice as part of your energetic toolbox?

The Solstice is not only a day when the light is the longest or the dark is the longest, but it signals a time when energy of a specific kind are available to you to use to manifest your dreams.

As of today the light in the northern hemisphere is growing. Use this energy to make plans for the next half of the year. You have more energy available to you for planning and growth. As light slowly grows in the northern hemisphere create your goals. Don't wait til the New Year.

Start now. Start by dreaming. As the light in the sky grows, write down your dreams and fashion them into goals and plans of action. This is how to utilize the Solstice energy to manifest your dreams.

If you are in the southern hemisphere the darkness is growing. Use this energy to wind down your projects. Enjoy the fullness of what you have created. Don't add any new big plans. Stick with the ones you have already made. You still have plenty of light for another three months. Begin to harvest what you have created.

Here is a plan of action to use the Solstice Energy:

Northern Hemisphere:
  1. Create 15 minutes to do this exercise - undisturbed
  2. Best after sunset
  3. Shut off phones and close door
  4. Sit or lie down quietly with a pen and paper
  5. Close your eyes
  6. Take in three deep breaths
  7. Ask yourself "What do I dream of for this year?"
  8. Allow yourself to ramble, allow images to arise - write them down
  9. Do not judge if it is possible or not.
  10. Continue to ask yourself "What do I dream of for this year?"
  11. Allow yourself to dream and write down the answers.
Place your sheet of paper under your pillow for the next week. If you wake up with more dreams just add them to the list.

Southern Hemisphere:
  1. Clear 1/2 hour to do this exercise - undisturbed
  2. Go to a quiet place outdoors
  3. Face the direction of the sun... this is best at sunrise OK if not at sunrise
  4. Visualize all the dreams that you have manifested since the last solstice
  5. Send out the energy of gratefulness to them
  6. Write down the manifestations
  7. Classify the manifestations into three columns
  8. The three columns are... FULL//IN THE WORKS//JUST BUDDING
  9. Choose to spend time enjoying your dreams that feel FULL
  10. Shed light upon the dreams that are IN THE WORKS - reevaluate where they are on your Map of Manifestation
  11. The dreams that are JUST BUDDING resolve to use solar energy to help them grow.
Place your chart on your altar, sunny windowsill or near a plant for the next week. If you realize that more of your dreams should be added to this list during the week go ahead and write them down.

Are you Congruent?


The Map of Manifestation as illustrated to your right. Can help you pinpoint where things going right, and what’s not, in your life. It’s a picture of a healthy energetic system —— how things flow from thought to form and from form to thought. When you’re unable to manifest or attract what you want, one or more elements have gotten off track or you have skipped an entire process.

  1. How does this picture compare with what’s going on with your dreams?
  2. Is your strategy in line with your purpose?
  3. Do you have the proper energy to deliver on that strategy?
  4. Do you have the right tools——and do they work well together?
  5. Is it clear what how hard you need to work vs allowing the universe to work for you——and do you know what the leading indicators of success look like?
To move yourself into the success zone, you need to put your energetic system into congruence.

Once you are in congruence your dreams will manifest like in the illustration below.
